Dodo Bar Or Dress

This Dodo Bar Or Pom Pom dress is made of cotton gauze and was perfect for my shoot on a hot summer morning. Such a statement and much more than a vacation or festival dress. An all-purpose dress that’s not quite work appropriate but can be worn casually or dressed up yet modest enough for church. As a frock lover, I was drawn to the ethnic elements of the dress, designed by Isreali designer, Dorit Bar Or. Although, the Dodo Bar Or Pom Pom dress has more of a Middle-Eastern influence, it is cross ethnic. While it reminded me of a South American peasant dress, it reminded my mother of regalia worn by the Fulani people of Nigeria. I feel a lot of the ethnic elements of this dress are shared by many other cultures, which make it even more intriguing. Definetly a piece to treasure for years.
