How to wear shorts without looking like a Juvenile

Denim shorts remain a favorite for the summer. I was beyond elated to find these light pink Levis cut-off shorts to add to my collection. Personally ,I’m comfortable in shorts and do understand that they are not for everyone. I find them particularly useful when I have to shoot outside on a hot day. But, how exactly do you wear shorts without looking like a juvenile? If you follow my blog, you may remember the post on how to style cut-off shorts and whether shorts in general are appropriate to wear in public past a “certain” age (see post here).  The main take away from that post was that there are no rules, you are free to do what is the most comfortable for you as an individual, if you’re not comfortable then don’t wear shorts, if you are interested in wearing shorts then cut them off to a length that is comfortable to you then you can elevate them, wear nice loafers or sandals instead of flip flops. Another way to great way to wear shorts without looking like a juvenile is to wear a sequined blouse. So, I paired this vintage Laurence Kazar beaded sequined halter-top with the light pink Levi cut-off shorts. I know, it may appear a bit over the top (very extra) but who said sequins can’t be worn as daywear, I beg to differ.
