The little white dress is absolutely trending this summer. Not exactly sure why its everywhere this summer. A cotton white dress is what I’ve always considered to be an easy summer staple not necessarily reserved for brides or brides to be. Honestly due to the Covid-19 pandemic plus the current state of affairs going on in our country, acquiring anything new hasn’t been on my radar the past six months. So, most of my style this summer will mostly feature my old clothes, clothes that I own that are currently in my closet. Luckily, I had a little white dress sitting on my closet. I reached out for my Charles Nolan New York dress that I hadn’t worn in about twelve years. This was my favorite dress to wear on summer weekends during my hostess career. I vividly remember wearing it sashaying down Nicollet Mall in downtown Minneapolis as I walked to my job and hoping that a gush of wind would catch on it for more movement. I wanted to channel a classic look and my Brother Vellies Picnic Shoes helped give the whole look a classic feel. The best thing about this pair of mary jane ballet flats apart from the Swarovski buckle is that this pair is in my perfect nude. Heels can be nice but it doesn’t get any more classic than a pair of ballet flats with a summery white dress.
