Denim Cut-off shorts happen to be in the uncomfortable territory for a lot of women. For good reason, they seem to be the uniform of choice reserved for teenyboopers hanging out with their friends during the summer months. Have no fear, everyone can pull them off. It’s very easy to Do-It-Yourself by cuting up a pair of worn out jeans in a length that’s comfortable for you. To avoid the teen look, I dressed my shorts with a crinkled stripe shirt that is a couple sizes too big that I pulled down to expose a shoulder, then tucked into the shorts. For shoes, I settled on my red block heel sandals. When of the best ways to dress up denim shorts is to choose footwear other than flip flops such as loafers, ballet flats, mules, kitten heels, or any interesting shoe or sandal of your choice. To complete the look, I dug out my vintage yellow wicker bag out of storage since basket/straw/raffia bags are the must-have accesory of the season.
